"Hello, For the last several weeks I have had a burden for little Jack - we have had him on our prayer list at our church for some time. Then I saw the article in the paper - my heart went out to your family. I don't know what your faith is but I trust in God and am praying for a miracle - that's what Jack needs I am sure you know. I cannot say what will happen - God is sovereign - we don't know for sure why things happen. I read an article just last night about that - when we get to heaven, we may say "Oh, I see". We will understand. God bless your family."

"Dear Jack, I saw your story in the newspaper yesterday. As soon as I read the article, I knew there was something I could do to help you and that is prayers to our Blessed Mother, Mary. I put a special statue in my living room and whenever I look at the statue of Mary, I pray to her for you. I am not a religious fanatic, I just knew in my heart that the Blessed Mother would want me to pray to her for you! "My name is Linda, and I also have glioblastoma multiforme. I was diagnosed March 25, 2007, and given 6-12 months “if” I had surgery and radiation. My tumor is located in the back right occipital and close to the surface. The operation went well. They managed to extract about 95% of the tumor. I went through radiation, and other than being tired a lot and losing my hair, I faired well. I’ve been taking Temodar (oral chemo) since last April, and am continuing that as long as the MRI’s show some shrinkage, no matter how small. I go to Cleveland every month to have an MRI and to see my neuro- oncologist. That was the best thing I did. I am 57. My husband, 5 children and their families also have been wonderful and encouraging. I’m hanging on to my faith, and try to stay positive, which is very difficult at times. Enough about me. I just felt compelled to email your family and pray for you all to have the strength to get through this. Your son is adorable. Feel free to email me. My prayers are with you all..."

"I was so touched by Jack’s news story. Very coincidentally, I read an article in a magazine this past weekend with a similar situation as yours, highlighting a surgeon who takes on similar cases. I am putting it in the mail today with info on the surgeon. Hopefully, this gives you a little more direction for this beautiful child."
