"I just read about Jack on Erie Blogs. Although I don't know you, I am deeply saddened by his condition and hope that by some miracle Jack overcomes this. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers. I prayed for Jack and that he would be touched by God during this difficult time. God bless Jack and family."

"Jack, Young man, the trench is dug within our hearts. We are all rallying around the family on your behalf, but it is you who must do the fighting. Were it possible for us to fight this for you, you'd be outside playing in the autumn leaves by now. It is perhaps too much to ask a three-year old boy to enter into the fight of his life. It's not reasonable or fair. Young man, you don't even know how to fight, but here you are, doing what must be done and redefining strength for all of us, your father, your mother, your sister and your brother. The price of self destiny is never cheap, Jack, and in certain situations it is unthinkable, but to achieve the marvelous it is precisely the unthinkable that must be thought. Fight, Jack. Fight 'em all the damn way. "

"Thank you Jesus for helping Jack not get booboos on his head."

"My best to your family. I am praying for a miracle..... Something I would like to share regarding a miracle: I have a 13 year old daughter, that at age 4 had ecoli, and later had total kidney failure. We needed a miracle for her to live. She did!! After 35 days on kidney dialyses. Continue to pray with him, continue to encourage him, and stay positive, because he will feel your thoughts. Continue to whisper in his ear to stay tough, he will hear you. My family will pray for Jack!!"

"Jack, You probably don't remember meeting me, but I have known your family for a long time. They are some of the nicest and most caring people I've ever met. I know they love you so much and will cherish every moment with you. You are a courageous boy and the prayers of my family go out to you. I know you have it in you to fight until your last breath. May God bless you with the strength to carry on, the will to endure, and the continued support and love of your family."

"To Jack and his family, I received an e-mail that came through a member of my church here in Winston-Salem, NC about you guys. I just wanted to send a short note to say you have lots of people here in Winston-Salem and the surrounding Triad area praying for you. I have a two year old grandson named Maxwell who is learning about Jesus in church and how much he loves everyone but especially the little children. I am going to ask Max to say a pray for you Jack and for your family. For two he is quiet verbal and the part he likes best about praying is the closing AMEN where he shouts it loud. I pray peace and comfort for you all, I pray God gives you strength, Father surround this dear family with Your loving Presence. Guide each step ahead of them by Your grace, grant the faith that brings peace of mind and heart and the hope that washes all doubt and anxiety from their thoughts. You Lord are in control and we put our trust in you and only you. In the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN. Blessings to you guys and may your Thanksgiving Holiday be filled with love, peace and good times with family & friends."

"Dear Sundberg Family, I heard about Jack through Ginnie and Louie and wanted to send you a short message to let you know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Yours is a parent's worst nightmare and I'm so sorry that you are all suffering. I pray that God's grace and mercy will envelope you with strength, courage and comfort for the journey as He holds your little one in His hands. You have such a sweet and loving family (I miss them!) and though I've never met Megan, I have thought of you all often. I pray that the entire family will be supported through this painful ordeal. I live in the Pittsburgh area. Please, let me know if there's anything I can do for you while you're here."

"Dear Sundberg family, Please accept our deepest sympathy for your situation with your son, Jack. Jill and I will pray for the miracle you need. God tests us in ways we can't possibly understand. He is always there, in control. We're all part of His master plan."
